Directions for the Bourne on the 4th of July Parade
From the South – Take I-95 North to Providence,
RI. Take I-195 East to Route 25 East.
Take exit 3 off Route 25. Directions continue
below.
From the West – Take I-84 to I-90 East
(Massachusetts Turnpike). Take I-495 South to
Route 25 East. Take exit 3 off Route 25. Directions
continue below.
From the North – Take I-93 South to Route 3
South to Route 6 & 28 West to Buzzards Bay or
Take Route 24 South to 495 South to Route 25
East. Take exit 3 off Route 25. Directions continue
below.
Follow Massachusetts Maritime Academy (MMA) signs on rotary to Main Street. The parade route starts at the intersection of Academy Drive and Main Street and ends in front of The Bourne Memorial Community Building at 239 Main Street.
No parking is allowed on Main Street during the parade and Main Street closes to traffic at 9:45 A.M.
Parade Staging: There are two parade staging areas.
Massachusetts Maritime Academy (MMA) Staging. To get to the MMA staging area: Once on Main Street in Buzzards Bay go approximately 1 mile and take a left at the only set of lights onto Academy Drive. Follow the signs on Academy Drive to MMA staging.
The other staging area is Cohasset Ave. For Cohasset Ave, follow Main Street approximately 2/3 of a mile and take a right across from Bourne Fire/Rescue & Emergency Services Headquarters (130 Main Street) onto Wallace Ave. Travel approximately 100 yards on Wallace Ave to the stop sign; this is the intersection with Cohasset Ave.

Satellite parking and Complimentary Shuttle Service:
If you would like to avoid downtown Buzzards Bay parade traffic, you can park and ride a complimentary parade shuttle from the Gallo Ice Arena located at 231 Sandwich Road to St. Margaret’s Street in Buzzards Bay. This shuttle service begins at 8:30 A.M. on the morning of the parade and continues until 9:45 A.M. The parade begins at 10:00 sharp.
Return service begins at the conclusion of the parade (approximately 11:30) and runs for approximately 1 hour after the parade.
